Buffelgrass is an invasive grass from Africa that chokes out native plants and is a fire risk to our native Sonoran Desert plants. Each year, February is Beat Back Buffelgrass month in the Tucson area. Volunteers can visit this website hosted by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum to sign up for bufflegrass removal events through the month of February.
